Welcome to Reybridge Eventing
Home to David Doel, International Event Rider, and trainer Maggie Doel BHSI.
We are raring to go into 2016 and you will find a list of our activities over the next few weeks on the Calendar page. We’ve had a great start with some lovely dressage scores – see our News page – and our plan for the first half of the season will be available on the Calendar page shortly. Meanwhile, visit the Horses page to see which horses are eventing at which level this year, and as ever, please come and say hello.
David Doel is an established event rider who competes his string of 15 horses from his yard in Wiltshire. His ultimate aim is to win medals and be part of senior teams representing Great Britain.
David represented Great Britain for two years running on Junior Teams, winning team gold and individual bronze in 2011, and for a further two years running in Europe as a Young Rider, culminating in team Silver at Jardy, Paris, in September 2013, and team Bronze at Vale Sabroso, Portugal, in 2014. His obvious talent continues to be recognised with his re-selection for the Team GB World Class Programme, which develops exceptional athletes with the potential to move onto the world stage. Part of the Bronze medal-winning team at the European Young Rider Championships, and winner of The Goldman Cup in 2014, David has continued to prove his commitment and dedication to the sport.
2015 was David’s first season at senior level, with continued good results at all levels. He was asked to ride the ‘guinea pig’ dressage test at Badminton in 2015 (News) and a further 106 entries resulted in nine wins and 24 other top 5 results, and a total of 82 top 20 placings, maintaining a place in the BE Top 100.
He also has a string of young horses to bring on, all of which finished the season ready to move up to Novice in 2016. We are looking forward to this coming year.
