Welcome to Reybridge Eventing

Home to David Doel, International Event Rider, and trainer Maggie Doel BHSI.

Off to Bicton Arena, Devon this weekend and a varied couple of days.  Day 1 (Friday),  Novice entries Get Set Autumn Star and Darker Shade of Pale were placed 2nd and 7th in their respective sections, while Ricoshea finished 12th in the Open Novice.  Sunday carried further success with another 7th in the Novice with Bottoms Up III, and 9th place in the BE100 with Rainstown Star.

David Doel is an established event rider who competes his string of 15 horses from his yard in Wiltshire. His ultimate aim is to win gold medals and be part of senior teams representing Great Britain, and he hopes one day to compete at the 4* event in Kentucky.

Winner of  The Goldman Cup in 2014, with eleven significant wins, more than 15 further top five placings at all levels, and team Bronze at the European Young Rider Championships, David continues to prove his commitment and dedication to the sport.

His obvious talent has been recognised with his re-selection for the Team GB World Class Programme, which develops exceptional athletes with the potential to move onto the world stage. David represented Great Britain for two years running on Junior Teams, winning team gold and individual bronze in 2011, and for a further two years running in Europe as a Young Rider, culminating in team Silver at Jardy, Paris, in September 2013, and team Bronze at Vale Sabroso, Portugal, in 2014.

David won his first CIC 2* event of the 2015 season – see the details on the British Eventing site, in Horse & Hound and on our News page.
